There are thread about metros and other type of transport/imfrastructure in Latin America. Here is one about airports.

-----------

Las Americas International Airport (Santo Domingo, DR)

This is the main airport for Dominicans and in a normal year it ranks the one with the second most passenger traffic in the Dominican Republic. It's also one of the most active airports in the Caribbean, among the top 5 of the sub-region. (the leader is Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Jusn, Puerto Rico). This year because of the Covid pandemic it's again the leading airport in the country. On a normal year about 60% of the passengers are Dominicans and 40% foreigners.

This video is from May 3, 2021. It's in Spanish, but don't need to know the language to see the place. It's the most extensive video of the inside, but it doesn't includes a good chuck. The actual airport views start at 1:46.

Cibao International Airport (Santiago, DR)

This is the second most popular airport among Dominicans, but the third most active in the DR. Of the international airports, this one has the highest share of Dominican passengers (around a whopping 90%.) If the Las Americas isn't a major touristic airport, this one is definitely not touristic. It's also the international airport that is furthest away from the coast.

Video is from May 19, 2021. Very extensive view of much of the inside of the terminal, but only in the beginning. Then it covers the flight to Newark, NJ. It's also in Spanish.

Punta Cana International Airport (Punta Cana, DR)

Now it's relegated to second place, in a normal year this is the leading airport in the DR and second most active in the Caribbean. This is a touristic airport since tourists mainly from North America and Europe make up over 90% of the passengers. It's a privately owned, built, and operated airport (in fact, the world's first privately owned open to the public airport, founded in 1984.) It has two separate terminals (Las Americas also has two terminals, but they are in two buildings that not only are together, but also look alike.)

There were cases of wigns with English on top and Spanish on the bottom in a Spanish-speaking country. I was one of the major complainers of that and now all bilingual signs are Spanish on top and English on the bottom. Ahem...

Cana is a Taino word for the local fan palm, which used to be quite numerous in the area and that's one of the reasons it's called Punta Cana. As a consequence and keeping upwith the theme, there is much references to the palm treevia the usage of thatch roofs. This airport is no exception.

Video from August 25, 2019 of the inside of much of the airport.

General Gregorio Luperón International Airport (Puerto Plata, DR)

The airport in Puerto Plata was built by the government I think in the 1970's. On normal year about half of the passengers are Dominicans and the other half mostly tourists especially from Canada and Europe.

Video from February 25, 2021. It begins to show the inside of the terminal at more or less 0:20.

La Romana International Airport (La Romana, DR)

This is anothee privately owned, built, and operated airport and tourists are well over 95% of the passengers. The terminal is small, but most people wouldn't notice in a way it resembles a sugar cane mill, which actually goes hand in hand with the history of La Romana.

Video is from May 2, 2019. There are no video of the inside, but at 5:48 starts the entrance and paddengers unloading/loading area of the terminal.

La Isabela International Airport (Santo Domingo, DR)

This is the other airport serving Santo Domingo, but only small planes can land here. It is quite small, as can be seen in the video. Although this video was taken by a Haitian waiting to board the plane to Port-au-Prince, about 80% of the passengers through this airport are Dominicans. It is closer to the city.

Video from August 16, 2021.

El Catey International Airport (Samaná, DR)

This is the last of the active international airports in the DR. It was built by the government to support the development of international tourism on the Samaná peninsula. Tourists make up over 90% of the passengers. It's quite small for now.

Video is from April 5, 2021. Believe it or not, this is the best video of the inside of this terminal. lol

In this one he actually spends more time in the check-in / arrival area, though for some reason few parts are flying or at Newark. He also doesn't talk too much during the last 4 minutes or so. lol

March 18, 2021. The Cibao airport part starts at 2:59.
