I would say any place that believes in the free market combined with vast natural resources that they are willing to exploit, would be a great place for opportunity. Now, if Brazil could just work on its leetle crime problem, it would be fabuloso.
People who talk down about Brasil are just jealous and ignorant. I know this myself, because I was once this way. However, I discovered how great the nation of Brasil is, and I've been love-struck ever since.

How were you jealous and ignorant of Brazil? I mean, I can understand someone being ignorant of something....but BOTH ignorant AND jealous?
I assumed someone had to know a lot about somewhere, and really want that, to be jealous of it...?

I knew a little about Brasil, its language (portuguese), Rio de Janeiro, but didn't really know the full spectrum of the country (therefore, my ignorance). When my eyes were opened to this great land, I was amazed and overwhelmed, knowing this is one spectacular place, and my jealous then set in. Now, with the knowledge I possess about Brazil and my delight in this country, I'm no longer jealous and ignorant.

it was an example, too many "every day items" for americans are luxury items in Brazil. Even in large cities. when you have to have payment plans for items that are not high-end luxury items, you're not "there yet"
Brazil is trying, I give them lots of credit, they are very innovative on a lot of fronts.
"Not being there yet" is a positive thing, it means people still don't take things for granted and are not part of the consumerism machine, yet.
