Just curious if Anchorage has any high income neighborhoods with large homes or with large manicured lawns or estates?
Forgive the ignorant lower 48 type question but I don't get to see much what neighborhoods in Anchorage look like and I know a lot of people live a bit different lifestyle there.

Every city has high income neighborhoods, most of Anchorage's is in the foothills of the Chugach Mountains, but originally was in the Turnagain neighborhood.

Here are one of the first high income homes, owned by Atwood, the publisher of the old Anchorage Times newspaper, located in the Turnagain neighborhood. He later went on to owning an English style estate with manicured lawns. Now the Atwood Mansion is used for commercial and private functions.

2910 W 31st Ave, Anchorage, AK 99517 - MLS#: 10001831

House Rental: Atwood Foundation - Anchorage, Alaska

There are some amazing homes here in Anchorage! I guess it all depends on one's definition of a Mansion?
