Hi,
I will be moving to Anchorage with my girlfriend (we're 18 and 21) in a few months. I'm wondering, what do you think the average weekly or monthly cost of groceries for us both would be if we bought "affordable" food? Thank you! |

Anything that is fresh and needs to imported will cost more. This basically includes, dairy, meat, and vegetables. Other products will be similarly priced as the lower 48.

Everything is more expensive, especially heavy items. My husband and I averaged about $100 per week for the two of us, and we don't eat meat.
