We singed up for cable and internet through GCI and I have a feeling we are not going to be very happy. I have read posts on here before regarding the expensive prices for these services so I was expecting it. But, how about MTA? We are living in Eagle River so we should be able to get the service there but I was wondering if anyone else uses them and if so, are you happy with the service?
I thought of signing up for internet only and then just using Hulu and Netflix but in order to get enough usage allowance to do that, I might as well have just gotten the cable too.
Thoughts?

Sorry I dont have an answer for you but I am so glad you asked this question. We will be signing up for one or the other when we move to Palmer this next week so I wanted to know this too. Thanks and hopefully someone else will answer soon.

We are with GCI because it was cheaper. The in-laws are with MTA. It seems like we both have the same amount of complaints.
Either way to get the faster internet at the best price you have to have the full package... So technically we have a home phone, but the ringer is turned off & it never gets used.
However... That's only because we already have our cell phones through AT&T. If you were going to have your cell phone with MTA or GCI, then that counts as part of your bundle.

I live outside of Eagle River and in my location only MTA was available. I bundled internet, cable and phone (which I don't use). The prices from GCI and MTA were pretty much the same. I haven't had any problems and when I've had issues they've sent someone out to take care of it fairly quickly.
