Should we add an Anchorage sub-forum?
This poll will be open for 48 hours. Thanks for voting.

Well, Alaska IS the largest state in the U.S. The problem is most of the population lives in just three cities, Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau.

Why not. You have Anchorage, and near by is Alaska.

Yes. A lot of the questions here that people ask are not Anchorage related but still receive Anchorage specific replies.

Maybe not Anchorage, but we may need a RANCE sub-forum!

I voted no but it really doesn't matter to me. I'd check it out anyway having lived in Anch and visit often.

I don't think we have enough participation to require a separate forum for Anchorage. On any given day, we have about a dozen topics to review and respond to as we wish.

I think it would be rather ostracizing to create a Sub-forum for Anchorage, and not for Fairbanks, Juneau, etc. There are many people that fight to maintain living in Anchorage is NOT living in real Alaska... let's not add to the negative dissention, shall we?

what we really need is...
a sticky-note FAQ that covers the basic questions about "moving to Alaska, what is it like?"
