Is this a drive that's do-able five days per week? What is it generally, about 45-50 minutes during rush hour?

Any comments, thoughts, opinions would be appreciated! Thank you!

Living in Anchorage and working in Wasilla would give you a faster commute than living in Wasilla and working in Anchorage. The distance is the same, but you would driving on a relatively empty road while the traffic on the other side will be heavy.
There's over 10,000 people that live in the Valley and commute to Anchorage. The drive is 50 to 90 minutes, depending on where in the Valley you live and where in Anchorage you work.
You'll find a lot of commuters who hate it. Most days it's fine, but since there's just one road, if there is an accident or a weather incident traffic can come to a stop for an hour or two.

Of course, that would require there actually being jobs in Wasilla worth commuting to...

Are there many openings for Meth Cooks from Anchorage in Wasilly?...

My wife and I both live and work in Wasilla and have for 16 years. The company I work has 15 employees with several making 6 figures. My wife's company employs about 25 people. There's jobs in the Valley.

Yep, the Valley has an economic infrastructure that has developed quite rapidly even in the short time that I've lived out here. There are many jobs that will allow a single person or even a family to live comfortably.

yes, for many it's worth it and do-able. Why else would nearly 40% of the Valley work force commute into town?

As a family, we have looked into it and for us, the time away and extra money for gas would NOT make it worth it.
