There are lots of desolate areas in the lower 48 where you'd have better luck.

The western Great Plains, eastern Colorado for example, are much warmer. If you want trees, try Maine or Northern Michigan.

When I visited Maine it was very nice - scenic, friendly people, and not crowded at all. I especially liked the coastal areas. The only thing that might give pause is the economy wasn't very strong there.

You really are clueless, aren't you?

"Moving and gear" will not save your dumb*** from from the mind-numbing and life-stealing cold that is winter in Alaska.

The "negative" feedback that you are getting is coming from people who are giving you genuine, straight-up advice that if you're wise enough to heed, will prevent you from becoming another sad but preventable statistic.

However, if you still insist upon trying, the upside is that, at least, the wolves will have a shot at a rare but much appreciated meal.

Unless he finds an old cabin to starve to death in. I don't think the wolves were able to get on the bus that the chris guy died in. When I used to snowmachine out to friends cabins we always left extra food in case someone happened upon it. After multiple snowmachines breaking down 50 miles in the middle of nowhere I don't do that anymore, I like sitting in front of a space heater with a drink.

Until you get abducted by aliens in the aligash forest, that did not sound like fun. I think those hikers got butt probed.
