Hey all,

my friend and I will go to Anchorage this weekend, but we forgot to book the railroad tickets from Anchorage to Fairbanks. I am wondering if I could find 2 tickets here. If somebody wants to sell his/her tickets, fell free contact me!

Additionally, we are ok to take the bus. But I could not find any bus line. Could someone give us some suggestions? That would be perfect!

Thank you very much!!!

I'm not sure the Alaska railroad runs this time of year. You may have to rent a car and drive or fly.

Sorry, no buses run in the winter. If you can 't get a train ticket, you'll need to fly. Alaska Airlines and Ravn are the two air carriers.

Or you could rent a car and drive.

The only other thing I would suggest is to keep calling the railroad in case someone cancels.

Interesting... That wasn't the impression I got on the opening page of the website. Granted, I didn't try to book anything.

In the winter they run a train up on Saturday and down on Sunday. And this year for the first time, they ran a couple of mid-week trains in March. I don't remember the dates...

Ah. Here's the details under Winter Trains: Alaska Railroad Transit

You need to click on the winter tab to get the winter schedule.

The summer daily schedule is the default on the WebSite.
