What's the weather like right now and the month of August? My family and I will be traveling there for a couple weeks. We are stationed in Okinawa japan and the weather here is ridiculously hot so hoping it's not too hot there lol. Should we pack more winter clothing or normal weather clothing?

Looks like 50's - 60's, with showers in the forecast over the next few days:

What about towards the end of August? How is it usually around August 21 through the end of the month?

I don't live in Alaska, (want to visit though!) but I did find this...

Scroll about a third way down to see average temp charts, etc.
Looks to be much cooler in the summer than most places.

BTW, I'm curious... what's "hot" in Okinawa? What is the temperature right now and is there a high humidity and dew point?

End of August, I'd pack for rainy cool days (40s-50s) and sunny mild days (50s-60s). We had a few days a couple weeks ago down on the Kenai of 70-75 degrees. I'd bring a pair of shorts, enough pants to last, tees, shirts/sweaters, and rainjackets.

Alaska weather can be hard to predict and can be all over the place. At the end of August it could be rainy and 40 degrees, or blazing sun and in the mid 70's. The key is to dress in layers so you can add or remove as needed.
You'll be up during the Alaska State Fair in Palmer. You should plan on going out one day.

It's currently 88 degrees at 236pm with no winds and 98% humidity. We have blackout days where we have to stay inside because it's so hot. AC I mandatory living here lol. Can't wait until we move!

Welp, in Miami - It is 94F with 98% humidity and then it drizzles so you sizzle. Can't wait to get back to my new home in Anchorage. That trip up start again soon.

I will say this, I do notice taking clothes on and off throughout the "day" in Alaska. So, as someone who just moved to AK - I can safely say that is good advice! And not something that I generally had to do in my 41 years in Florida.
