I looked for the answer to my question, but couldn't find it so I tried to post in about forum and got message "you don't have permission to post in this forum(or something like that), so I will post here. Do you post reputation by the favorable post(which would be limitless) or do you just post once to a certain person a single time? That is actually my question, but then the no access to about forum threads came up so need to know about that too. This forum "City-Data" is very complex and still don't know things. Little by little I am finding my way around here. It's actually pretty amazing how many things are in this forum and technically it is superior! Now about my questions...?

You add reputation to a poster with the scales icon on the post you want to add rep. to. You can only rep a post once and you can only rep a person once until you rep a bunch of other people. (gotta spread the love around)...

Depending on how much rep. you have is how much rep you give to someone else. There is a formula for this and I don't remember the tiers for it...

I belonged to this forum a longtime before even needing to ask a question. There are so many places to explore and read, plus coming across so much information which answers a lot of questions without having to ask anyone.

I personally would rather ask questions about something I do not know so I can know it.

Why is this in the Anchorage forum? Hopefully, it will be moved to an appropriate location soon when poor Rance has a spare moment.

My preference is to know something officially rather than someone telling me when they could easily be wrong. I've been given the wrong information many times. Some people do not know what they're talking about and misinformation abounds.
