Hotel Recommendations Needed (Kenai, Cooper Landing: art, land, friend)

I have stayed in the Millenium, and feel they were over priced with really soft beds, the resturant didnt thrill us either. Nice view of the lake and float planes.

I'm still thinking that the Cap'n Cook is where we'll wind up being.

I think you'll like the Captain Cook. Some good views, the food ain't bad, and some nice stuff to look at.

I booked a Captain's Deck King. I'm wondering if they have one with a view of Wasilla?

You might see the lights at night...but probably not the town of Wasilla during the day.

I stayed at the Diamond Center Hotel last winter.. It was really nice big beds, and a huge tub with a window that opens to the bedroom, and a view of the tv Capt'n Cook was really nice with nice views also..

Well, not ever having had any smoked salmon chowder, I am not equipted to give an intelligent opinion (not that ignorance has ever really stopped me in the past) but..... I can attest to Rances' sugar cured smoked Salmon, dat stuff be dang good, yeah!!!! Did I mention that I really fell in love with Salmon while visitin' yalls' fair state. First time I had ever eaten fresh Salmon, RUINED ME, IT DID!!!!!! Now I know the difference, up until then all I had eaten was the canned stuff, I've been spoil't, tis a good thing! Funny how Alaska can change perspectives in ways I would not have anticipated.
