I'm sorry, I didn't even read beyond the first sentence. The I, I, I, I is too damned tedious today. Best of luck to you.

Pretty much anyone where I live will tell you that care is substantial here, so I'll stick with paying my medical bills my own way. You're welcome to come here and live and then get back to me on the quality of care here.

I would never wish to take anyone's choice in care away. That is up to the person asking for the care. Can not knock that. Your care, your choice. Really the only reason a hospital would choose to use a traveler is because they may have a lack of RN's or only wish to employ additional RN's on a need basis. We have found that the cost to bring them in is more than if we hired more RN's. Our area has over 300,000 people though. Hiring more RN's has also cut overtime which brought cost down.

You know, none of my comments were even about RNs. It's my understanding that you guys can't even legally diagnose, so the damage you can do is limited anyway. I'm just going to skim over any further defenses of the profession, particularly those where 'I' or 'me' is used almost every other word.

BTW, all anyone has to do who thinks that my sentiments about traveling quacks exists in a personal bubble and is a result of a "tight knit communities resenting outsiders" is look through this forum and see the comments by people who haven't lived in Alaska very long to know that's BS.

You come across as a real delight. In reality, who cares how many times he referred to himself?

The man asked about RN jobs and pay.

If you don't want to receive services, great. More resources for other people. Certainly with your white, upper middle class status you'd be fine. Coming across as stuck up and pretentious as they come.

I'd be concerned about moving to Alaska due to the concern of being stuck around these type of people too long.

Time to drink a beer on the snow bank while milking uncle Sam as a traveling nurse. Screw it the elders have been robbing Medicare for years. It won't be enough for the younger generations.

Might as well get mine now. I don't feel a bit bad about it.

No, he didn't. He already knows about the jobs and the pay. He was just going on and on about how much better he is than all you other traveling quacks.
