We discovered that as well. Pizza can only be ordered on the theater side though, and there aren't nearly as many options, but those garlic cilantro fries...

We went to the Moose's Tooth for the BEER, the pizza was a secondary item. The beer there is excellent, Fairweather IPA is world class.

I will agree the beverages are quite classy.

I have found bear tooth to be just as bad and the parking is worse along with the passive aggressive warnings about parking across the street. The wait staff at bear tooth is really bad, the wait staff at mooses tooth are good and just dealing with a bad situation (crowded venue with no delivery option to decongest the traffic).

By the time I have to listen to hippies screaming kids as they laugh about it and the wait staff that does nothing the pizza actually tastes worse than a Costco freezer pizza.

If I had one day I would go to Alaska wildberry products and do a helicopter tour of anchorage from Merril field.

I agree. One of the worst things to ever happen to my favorite pub was the decision to make it "family friendly."

I have not lived in Anchorage since the late 90's, but back then Gwennie's on Spenard was the #1 spot for breakfast. Don't know about today.

Agree about Earthquake Park. It isn't what it used to be, but you can explore and still find the destruction if you look hard enough. What is more interesting about this area is the number of new houses built in the area the past 20 years. Somewhat surprising, or not.

Gwennie's is still very good for breakfast!! But you need a big appetite as the portions are very big. Very good for lunch too. Was just today talking to someone who said their crab omelet was the best he had ever had.

Good to know. I remember my Mom visited us there in circa 1997, and asked for "egg beaters", and was met by a confused waitress. They didn't do that at Gwennie's!

It is good food but they have let cleaning and maintence really go so its just a matter of time before someone gets sick, I stopped eating there a few years ago as it is too nasty.

I recommend Jackie's vs. Gwennie's for breakfast, also on Spenard.
