I have a Palm treo smartphone with verizon and I am concerned about whether or not I will be able to go online in Anchorage. The verizon guy says Yes, but according to their website it looks like a no for smartphones. We are not moving until end of June. I want to get my new deal here before I leave. Att is the wireless carrier there I believe. Does that mean Iphone and Blackberrys are the way to go?

Here's a site where you can look for cell towers. There are 5 or 6 in Wasilla for example.
