Default AK foster parenting...

My husband and I are moving up to the Anchorage area in the next month, and when settled want to get our license for fostering to adopt a couple of children. We adopted our kids here in WA the same way, so are no stranger to possibile scenarios and / or difficulties in the process. Is there anyone that has any feedback about the AK foster care system....is it known to drag on worse than other state, more conservative or liberal with their decision making? I know there are certain laws with native children, husband is native so that is a no-issue. Any feedback is helpfull...we don't particularly look forward to the process again (we had a nightmare scenaio and caseworker with one of our girls), but want to add to our family....thanks!
