Default Looking for 2 br cabin close to water in Alaska

Hi,
My cousin and I are in Anchorage now, but are looking for a 2 bedroom cabin to rent, preferably near water. Anchorage is too crowded for our tastes, and we certainly need a reasonable rent ( I know that is asking a lot!) I am on disability and need a place to heal. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Default Thanks for the laugh!!!

No, it doesn't!!! We just like water!! Although it would be nice if the running water worked in the cabin!

You're living in Anchorage now...have you gone up to Talkeetna? You might want to drive up there and look around.

Met's right...take a day or two and explore around the Talkeetna and Willow areas. Seems like I've seen several areas with 'for rent' signs buried in the brush.

Default Went to Chickaloon today

We went to Chickaloon today, and made it within 1 block of the place for rent. Then our truck slid back down the hill! We figured that if we couldn't make it up the hill while the weather was nice, it might not be a good idea to rent in an area where we might be snowed in for the winter. Not that I would mind that, but we do have an ebay business for which we do have to have internet service and a Post office!! I really wanted to get that one too!!
Thanks for the advice about Willow and Talkeetna. I have been in those areas before and they are beautiful.
