Mr bob found good winter parka at The Mountain Shop in Skagway. it has Mr bob's name to buy for Winter time. price $150. Mr bob likes to ease drop at sweet tooth cafe breakfast time with the towns people, know whats taking place around town. Rudy and Mr bob will share a phone line with DSL at the two apartments. for high speed computer connection winter time. radio shack store woman says 50 below zero Skagway coldest weather, high winds. We can see if Taurus runs great in Winter time, Alaska. only around skagway town.

Bob, I had a dial up connection when I spent the summer there--it actually wasn't too bad but hard to get used to after broadband. For some reason I couldn't get DSL where I was at. That hopefully has changed now.

AP&T has DSL in Skagway but very high costs for uploading and downloading data. Your right might have to save on costs and only use regular dial up connection.

Yes. I don't think there are any places worth staying at between Destruction Bay and Tok. Destruction Bay is too early in the day to stop at. It will be about 10 hours, but you can do it if you start early.

5 or 6 am leave early. Skagway to Tok May 4 or 5.

Kick Ass Time. Mr bob just got Ferry ticket for $80. Skagway to Haines. May 5 at 2 pm. they say going up the white pass back to whitehorse will take lot of Gas. climb up the mountians. Was this the right direction to take Ferry?

That sounds good, but $80 would cover the gas. Haines to Tok is about 8 hours. Unless you're staying the night in Haines, you'll want to drive to at least Haines Jct or Destruction Bay, about 3-4 hours. With the afternoon ferry, you can't do much more than that. That means you'll have to go to Fairbanks on the 6th, if not to Denali. Don't you need to be on the job on the 7th?
