Careful Met...you'll give him the hebbiejebbies again! He's nervous enough!! Piece a cake in a car....large truck towing huge trailer now that's intimidating to drive thru cities and Alcan!!!

The hardest part is getting the courage up to drive it alone, too many what-ifs taking over your mind will drown out the momentum. But Bob, you have the advantage of being male and being very well-prepared with lots of time to pull over & stretch out when you need to!

Thinking I would need a GPS to make the trip would give me the heebie-jeebies...There was just another that came up last week saying it was not the most pleasant drive yet and lots of out-of-the-way stops still closed. We are still only in April and in the mountains can be snow and ice, which is not so bad going up, but on the downside could be rather iffy. Just don't ride the brakes Mr. B... It wouldn't be so bad with someone else with just for support, but to go literally cross country alone would not be so pleasant.

Just do it Bob. After the first hour, you'll be in the groove and the rest will fly by. Just take breaks when you need them. I recommend not eating lunch in the car. Get out and walk around so you'll feel a little more refreshed. Take pics and post some to show your progress.
Make Warptman proud!

Actually a GPS is a great thing to have. We didn't have ours on our first trip last year but on the second trip we did. For the second trip my husband put the info into the GPS to see if it would give him the same route we took when we didn't have the GPS, and sure enough it did. Comes in real handy finding gas stations, hotels, restaurants, shopping, doctors, etc. wherever you are. At first I thought it was just another electroic gadget for hubby to play with but now I see how useful they are. So hopefully it will help Bob.
