Buy a 1 bedroom condo in Florida and come down during the winter and go back during the summer. You will really appreciate the heat and humidity as well as the dry and cold.

Forget Florida....I tried wintering there

Cabo is the place to be in the winter, and for half the price of Florida

And....Alaska Airlines is there regularly everyday..

Miss the sun? This is the first day in, I can't event count, we've had clouds. It gave me an excuse to stay home and do nothing. I've never seen so many sunny days in the winter, it's wonderful.

Cabo is AWESOME! We love it there. But Anchorage is home and always will be. You really appreciate it after you have left. I was nuts and moved to Southern California from there....I've regretted it since.

Amen to all of you! I just moved here and don't forsee me leaving anytime soon. After going thru winter solstice and discovering it's not all bad (because I was pretty worried about it), I realize this is where I belong. But what's up with this cold snap in Anchorage? Wasn't expecting that...but I'll take it over palm trees and 80 degrees in December any day!

I dont see myself ever leaving. This place freaking rocks.

The only time I might leave is if I end up joining the MSC, but then return afterwards.

Yes, I've only lived here six years and I've never gotten sick of any previous place I've lived this much. It's the lack of sunlight and warmth. The cabin fever is really getting to me and I don't care what it costs to get out of here, it's worth it.
