Correct me if I am wrong on this...but the card is essentially for travel in and out of Canada and Mexico...you'd need the full passport still to travel overseas. At least that's how I took it to mean.
Also it expires sooner than a full-passport.

passport card is between united states, canada, mexico and Caribbean and bermuda. land and sea travel. Mr bob has both passport card and passport book. it took only 14 days to get both regular process. yes indeed.

You could always remove the chip and embed it yourself.

Can't use them internationally, just for Canada, Mexicao, Bermuda & the Caribean. You will have to use tthe regular passport for everywhere else

Spring is here. looking forward working hard at Denali Summer and going every now and then to Fairbanks to use hotel for indoor swim pool and hot tub. Fairbanks is cheeper than Anchorage for hotels. Comfort inn Fairbanks $119.00
