Yes indeed it is Mr. Bob, sharp knife to fillet those sea-kitties and cook on the campfire, they have feelings that are meant to char those delicacies on the fire and imbibe in nature's finest foods....yes indeed Mr. Bob, need a special knife...(and seasonings, etc.)

The classic fillet knife is approximately 7-10" long. It has a long tapering curve on extraordinarily thin, flexible steel. This is made in this fashion in order to press the blade flat against the spine of the fish and remove 2 fillets. Classic fillet is to place the fish on a flat surface and make an incision behind the gill running from forward of the dorsal (back) fin down to just rearward of the ventral fins (the ones below the gills). Make a similar incision forward of the tail fin. Place the knife rearward of the tail incision, flat of the blade on the body of the fish and pressing down, move the knife forward with a slight sawing motion. The flat of the blade pressing down on the body of the fish will hold it down on the table. With your other hand, pull the loose flesh up out of the way of the blade. Don't tug on the flesh in your hand, let the blade do the work. Continue cutting until you reach the forward incision. Turn the fish over and repeat.

Yes indeed.

Could pop a small wood's chicken (proper license of course), do the deed with innards, head, feet...I would use sharp camping knife and skin for ease of cleaning and preparation...Cast iron pan and lid may be useful, season and cook that little buck-buck on your fire, a little wine to deglaze the pan, have some of your Legends fresh-baked along side, maybe some herbed rice cooked on the fire...,beverage of choice, meal would make a man (woman) proud..., yes indeed...

Our family of moose have been conspicuously absent since Redoubt woke. Haven't even noticed any out in the Flats.
