Not likely. It's 100 miles (160 km) away.

If I was home I'd be camping on the beach just to see the show. Well maybe up on the bluff incase there was a tsunami...but I'd be deleriously waiting and watching.

So which paper were you reading? The Aftonbladet (spelling)?

Well, sure. Thats the "garbage paper" I read online. That and "Expressen"
I should probably read other papers like "Dagens Nyheter"
So, there is a lot of hype for nothing? So typical Aftonbladet to make a big deal of things.

Well, it could be a big blow. But most folks aren't in any real danger. It's just a prize pain if the ash falls on the Kenai or the Anchorage bowl.

Really no danger of lava or boulders landing on anyone...well maybe at the Drift River tank farm...they could get flooded with mud and crud coming down the Drift River.
As Mal stated the rest of us will most likely get covered in ash as the winds seem to be directed at the more populated areas.

I am sooooo... well, you know what, that I'm not there to see Redoubt right now. Couldn't it have done it a little earlier, say a few months?

Redwine, Aftonbladet sure is great at making things seem more dramatic than they really are. Like a few weeks ago, with that couple or whatever that was "cut out alive from the car wreck".
I am sooo glad they didn't cut them out dead. Would have been a shame... Or Carola who "passed out" during breakfast. Yeah... (Too bad she "didn't pray more, then she'd had Him on her side" and would've won the Eurovision... Suck...)

So... What's going on with Redoubt right now? WHEN is it predicted to blow? If it is pedicted to blow, that is? (I'm getting all this info and many are contradicting each other)

Anyway... Save me some ashes if it does, ok guys?

UPDATE: Just found the article on Aftonbladet. It truly does sound dramatic. Get ready to run, everyone!
Seriously, though, I think the person who wrote this article is using the same source as an article I read yesterday. Almost word by word the same in the end of the article on Aftonbladet (though in Swedish, as the article I read yesterday was in English).
Here's the link, anyway:

Hello Lady
Redoubt is markedly quieter than yesterday, but looking on the webcam, one can still view a slight bit of steam billowing.
If she were to blow tomorrow, quite a few would be a bit 'put out'. It is SuperBowl Sunday

SafetyN8 is on a distinguished road
Exclamation Particle masks and goggles

Monitoring earthquakes underneath the 10,200-foot Redoubt Volcano about 100 miles southwest of Anchorage, scientists from the Alaska Volcano Observatory warned that an eruption was imminent, sending experienced Alaskans shopping for protection against a dusty shower of volcanic ash that could descend on south-central Alaska. Every time this happens we do get a run on dust masks and goggles," said Phil Robinson, manager of an Alaska Industrial Hardware store in Anchorage . "That's the two main things for eye and respiratory protection."

The 3M 8210 N95 rated particle mask is a good product to use to keep from inhaling ash. If you go with a higher rating on the particle mask (N100) the masks start to get harder to breathe through. This mask will keep visable particles from getting into your lungs.

3M 8210 N95 General Use Particulate Respirator - $14.00 - PK Safety Supplies

The Pyramex V2G Foam Seal goggles will prove useful as well. They create a seal around the eye and keep particles from getting in.

SALE - Pyramex V2G Foam Seal Glasses - $6.50 - PK Safety Supplies

Hope we can help out! Looks like we should be able to get these to Anchorage in 4 days. These are all in stock and ready to ship.
