Is Abortion Murder?
I was wondering what the people in Anchorage think about Abortion.
Sound off, what do you think?
Do you think abortion is murder, yes, no, why or why not?

To anyone with a soul and a conscience, yes, it is murder.
A mere "Supreme" Court decision doesn't make something right.
Just legal. Big difference.

Why isn't this in the Anchorage forum rather than the Alaska one? There is a difference, you know. I think abortion, Anchorage, and threads like this all suck.

I would think that you should have this thread moved to one of the political sites.
That is a gasoline issue, we have enough fire fights over just plain Alaska issues that don't include religious venues.
Personnally, I don't aggree with abortion, but I also don't believe it is my business how another couple has to deal with a very personal issue that would affect them for the rest of their life, good or bad.
I know that when I was growing up, my mom said she "at times", would trade me off for a house broken puppy... Looking back, she had some just causes....

yeah, but i can sorrta see the other side. late term abortion on the other hand, no contest. if you think thats cool then you have a problem. this is what you hear from those people. " abolish the death penalty, its wrong to murder, and omg we have to save the polar bears! o kill an unborn baby? nah, thats cool." wha?

Equal under law: every woman should have the right to decide. Up to a cretain time, and that criteria should be set by doctors, not laymen. Those so in favor of completly outlawing it, should look more closely at plight of unwanted children in my opinion.

Personally, I am against it. But cannot see forcing a woman to have to carry to term and raise a child if she feels she can't do it right. Forcing a mother to carry to term without understanding her position, her mental health, her financial worries, her physical health, etc. is like voting for the politician of your choice because he/she belongs to your party. It's irresponsible.
What I feel personally about abortion has no bearing on the circumstances the prospective mother is in. She is the final arbiter of her body, not me and not the Supreme Court. Everything else is up to her, her conscience and her God.
Just another useless opinion posted by yours truly.
