Its always best to place studded tires on all four wheels, it's a safety issue.
I would try Tire Factory, I have used them and I think there real fair.
Drive safe and take it easy your first winter here.

I've had people slam into me 3 times now here in Anchorage, twice because they slid out of control.
I love my studded snows. I put them on my 22 year old Landcruiser & I feel like I am driving a tank.

Today was the third time since Monday that I was almost hit while walking in a crosswalk on Dimond Blvd. in Anchorage and there isn't even any snow or ice.
Today I ended up with my left hand on the hood doing about 6 big side steps as the lady just kept going. Finally she looked and slammed on the brakes. I am beginning to wonder why I even use the freakin' crosswalks???
