Wink Something to do?

I need help! I've searched all the anchorage sites and I'm not seeing anything interesting.

I get one night out with my husband (may 11), and I really don't want to do the normal "dinner and movie" date thing! Needs to be something we can do after work-hours. And something not really expresive!

I'd love to surprise my hunny with something great, active and exciting to do! NOT a bar...been there, done that!

If it were something unusual, that would be great too! Maybe something that would challenge ME (as a woman), but would be a "guy thing"???

Willing to goto Eagle River too!

Thanks in advance! ps. phone numbers/websites to activites would help!!

How about a wonderful hike to the top of Flattop mountain and have a nice picnic? The area is usually pretty quiet this time of year. McHugh creek just outside of town is another nice location. Lots of trails and places for a picnic. Maybe bring a bottle of wine or two. *wink*

Default dinner during a movie

Whats that place in Anchorage where they show movies while you eat dinner? Nothing wrong with a good movie and a beer or two at the same time.

I too was going to suggest a hike up Flat Top Mountain...killer view of the city and hillside below...bring a camera.

There are some other fun, exciting things to do, like the category 5 rapids of...uh...ok...maybe not...just kidding...
Then there's the Alyeska Ski Lift ride to the restaurant on top of the mountain. (talk about a killer view!) you might give them a call to find their summer schedule:
