Suspected abductor struck girls with SUV, police say - KTUU.com | Alaska's news and information source |

I just want to get the word out as much as possible. This is sick and so scary. So many young girls are walking around early in the morning and after dark.

I hope they catch this creep right away. Really scarey. If I had kids they would NOT be walking to school regardless of where I lived. Just too many sickos out there anymore.

There are sickos all over and it is totally disgusting. There has to be a limit where kids don't grow up in fear, but situational awareness (AKA common sense). I would not let kids walk alone, but in a group they have numbers and can still talk stupid and act like kids....We have to find a way to let the kids be kids and not victims, no matter where they live, within reason...hence the parents job to instill 'situational awareness' even if they are preteens, teens, the job does not end...these kids should not have even stopped walking when approached or taken off...screamed, they have phones...911...

Police seek girl, 13, missing from her home in Muldoon: Anchorage | adn.com (http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/anchorage/story/1117740.html - broken link)

Terrible coincidence? There is a missing 13 year old girl in Muldoon. Last seen walking around outside.

There is a forum post under the ADN article from someone who says they are the grandma & the girl was hiding at a friend's house. But I wish ADN would have a follow-up article today. I was hoping they would do a follow-up, but noooooo!

I was relieved to hear she was OK, but would like to hear it from a news source rather than an ADN forum post.

I found an article today that said the girl was fine but I had to do a search for it.

Thanks, gobrien! Glad she was OK!

Carol Comeau was going to do a robo-call to all ASD parents to watch out for their kids on the way to schools.

It would be so much easier to watch kids if their school didn't start so late in the day. The older kids go earlier...so people who have to be at work at 8 am have to make other arrangements for their kids' safety.
