Post Anyone here that works at Providence in Anchorage?

I applied for a position a week ago - Radiology Technologist / night shift.
So far I havent heard anything back, but did find out the HR person who handles new apps was on vacation all last week. I'm just wondering how long it usually takes to hear back from them.

I am really hoping to get this job so I can move to Alaska from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

I may have an offer coming through from a recruitment office for a job in Juneau, but being that there is no road out of Juneau, I'm not sure I want to take that one. I like living out in the boonies, but also like to be able to drive into different towns on my days off.

Anyhow, please wish me luck on finding work there - and feel free to tell me your experiences with the different hospitals in AK if you work for one.

Linda

Cool Hospitals in AK

Try Alaska Regional (907) 264-1777. It is a smaller hospital in Anchorage specializing in CV care. My wife has worked here for 20years and prefers it, mainly due to the smaller political footprint...

I received a call last week from HR at Providence. They liked my resume' and said they would be forwarding it onto the appropriate shift manager. On top of that I noticed that one the 3rd they posted yet another position. So I am very hopeful that I will get a position offered to me soon.

I also found that Mat-Su posted an opening at their hospital too. I will be looking into that as another possibility, although the 12 hr shifts at Providence look real appealing to me.

Hopefully I will hear something in the next few days from Providence
