Except for Plymouth and Chelsea, these are not even cities or towns. They are like roads with a half dozen stores strewn about.

I don't even know how you would differentiate between them.
It is absolutely ludicrous to say that Dexter, Tecumseh, and Saline are not towns! They are all small towns with thousands of residents, solid, highly regarded school districts, several churches of various denominations, assorted neighborhoods, a downtown with shops and restaurants, and in the case of Saline and Tecumseh (I'm not sure about Dexter, having only been there a couple of times) fast food outlets. Saline has a Super Walmart. How in the world are these towns not towns? Have you been to any of them? How do you differentiate between them? Really? Wow. You should check these "non-towns" out sometime. I think you would be very surprised.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if WE would be making a big mistake with the move? Also he has a job offer, thats why we are in such a rush to make a decision.

What are the pros and cons of raising a family in MI?
How are the school systems in MI?
How does it compare to TN?

Thanks so much In Advance
This may come too late with a posting of July 2011.

I live at Whitmore Lake which is about 14 miles north. There is a colonial for $179,000 in the neighborhood. Ann Arbor is rather expensive and it is known as a "college town" with the University of Michigan. Do not be afraid of the move. There are a lot of people from the south any place that you go. My husband is from Alabama. If you still have not made the move please answer this post.
