Hello!

My fiance and I are looking to begin building our home next year in the Ann Arbor area, and I'm researching to find the most reputable builder. Our max budget is $420K, and we have found a floor plan with Lombardo homes that we really like. But, I haven't been able to find a lot of information (outside of Yelp) on whether Lombardo homeowners enjoy their homes. I'm lacking in any information from other home builders as well (Pulte, Toll Brothers, etc.).

Does anyone have any insight? Or would care to share some advice? Anything would be appreciated, thank you!

Give me a few days. I worked for a remodeling contractor for 28 years in Ann Arbor. He is retired but still has a handle on the local builders.

One I know is still in business is Deb Moore who owns Custom Design Build.

Not sure about Lombardo, but Pulte and Toll Bros are national builders (Pulte bought/took over our old development in Charlotte, NC from John Weiland). As such, I would expect pretty solid warranties, but the quality will likely vary depending on which subs they use in A2.

Good luck!

Thanks for that information!

I have never talked to anyone at Lombardo Homes, but based strictly on their website I view them as a Tract House builder who is willing to construct their homes on a buyer's lot regardless of location.

For a well regarded high quality builder, check out Guenther Builders. Decades of experience in the A2 area building one-off homes with a good reputation.
