I knew he was old, but didn't realize he was that old.

I imagined Dick Clark was more like this:

Spoiler

Than experimental like those pictures. That house reminds me of an ant/termite hill.

wow, I think its ugly. Honestly, the only house I saw that I liked that was owned by a celebrity (not that I have seen a ton though) was Ellen Degeneres' "tree house". It was also previously owned by Health Ledger. It is now owned by an actor from the movie The Hunger Games.

Marilyn Monroe's house was also a stunner. She had the pool installed but never got a chance to swim in it.

It's a beautiful house.

But I have an idea the kitchen was re-done since her death. The So Cal houses that had open-beamed ceilings like that rarely had sky lights. The windows were definitely re-done.

Oh yes, in one of the articles I read, the kitchen had been rehabbed. I think my beef about celebrity homes is they are generally obnoxious in size and have little character. Or completely bizarre. Doesn't this house feel warm and cozy?

It does! I grew up in So Cal and am very familiar with houses like that. (In fact I know the neighborhood that house is in.) The great thing is they everywhere and you never know when you're going to stumble on one that is a absolute gem.

(The worst thing is the old ones have no insulation and being inside is pretty much the same as being outside. )
