20th Century by a mile. The early 20th century skyscrapers in the US are real gems. I dont think Ive ever seen a nicer skyscraper then the Chrysler Building.

Nothing quite beats the Art Deco high rises of the 1930s. It's really sad that there aren't more collections of them that exist in cities. Many cities have Art Deco buildings, but most are low rises and very few are actually that tall. However, the few and notable that exists are awesome and I wouldn't believe it if there was a revival.

Above are some pictures of the 3 Foot Building, an Art Deco building originally completed in 1929. This building still stands in Meridian Mississippi and is roughly 130-140 feet tall if I recall correctly. Unfortunately today the building is mostly abandoned and primarily used as a storage facility, it is in needs of tens of millions dollars of repairs, and will probably never get them.

ALL OF THE ABOVE PICTURES BELONG TO ME. NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT

What is so offensive and insulting about comparing 100 year old architecture with present day architecture? If you do not agree with this thread then simply go to another one that you agree with or enjoy. There is not point in having a tantrum about it.

I just think it's dumb that is all. Why can't I comment? These forums are open to anyone, even those that disagree with what's being said. You are not comparing 100 year old archituectre, you are comparing 100 years of architecture to 13. Then you guys are saying mostly that the 20th century did it better. No ****, seeing has there are ONE HUNDRED years of different projects, design styles and architectural events compared to 13 years.......

It like saying let's compare cars from 1900-2000 to those of 2000-2013. It really is ridiculous and dumb. But continue, I have nothing else to day for such a stupid thread.

Then stop replying to my posts? Best way to get rid of someone that disagrees with you is by ignoring them. All you are doing is inviting me to continue to discuss it with you. I said this was a moronic thread, looks like it very fitting for you. Later!
