So my wife and I are considering a home and there are two exterrior choices and we are divided over it. It is important to us to have a home that is appealing to others in that one day we will resell it and want the curb appeal to be there. Any insight would be appreciated regarding these two elevations.
I like the roof lines of the second home, but I like the square opening above the door and the stone work of the first home. Maybe you can get the builder to combine them.
Roof line in the option with stone facing is funky looking. Arch in the other elevation looks goofy / dated. I hate tract builders. They will probably try to charge some ridiculous premium to get something that looks decent...
Thanks for feedback. You both sum up my feelings. We love the neighborhood, location and floorplan, just not crazy about the elevations available. Trying to come to terms with one of them.
The homes are in Southern Florida so they have a different look to them then I am used to.
I actually prefer the photo with the stone work. Your style is transitional, and this is the better example. Balance is better and the 'tower' over the entrance is more appealing. More character, compared to the other one which is totally 'beige' and predictable for a tract home. I can already imagind some nice landscaping with it.
If I were buying and those were my choices- I'd pick the second over the 1st.
It's all about that goofy-ass shed roof over the front left window unit. It's not about the veneers (brick, stone, stucco, etc.). The only other thing that would enhance the overall appearance would be to make the garage a side-entry. But of course that may not work depending on the size of the lot.
