We finally sold our house and plan to arrive in Bullhead in mid August. (Yup - been there in the summer before and know about the heat, etc). We are going to rent an apartment and have narrowed it down to either Canyonwalk apartments in BHC or The Vistas in Laughlin. If anyone has any input pro or con, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has any information about any other nice apartment complexes in the area, that would also be appreciated. We are both over 55 and have 2 cats. Thanks!

I just bought a house in Bullhead City, I will live here in NJ ( sad) for 3 years and pay off some bills then load my 40 rescued cats in a camper and off to Bullhead we go.
I have been in contact with the rental agencies , to rent my house . You should think about renting a house. I didn't notice any that said no pets.
It's not like you have to mow the lawn .Most have a 6 month option . You can then go to a apt if you would like.
Mod Cut.
I am a petsitter now and plan to be in AZ also . If you meet a petsitter with 40 cats , its me.
Good luck.

Thanks for the good idea.

I will be looking for a petsitter when we get to AZ. Here in Florida we have traded petsitting with a friend who has 4 cats for years. Now I will have to find a new one in Bullhead City. I wish you were moving there before 3 years, but will keep you in mind for future petsitting. Sounds like you are a super cat lover! We will be traveling from north Florida to BHC in a car with our 2 cats in less than 3 weeks. That should be an adventure! We are staying in pet friendly motels and don't plan on driving more than 4 or 5 hours a day so hopefully it won't be too stressful for them. Anyway, good luck on your future move, too!

Wish I was in BHC so I could help you but I have only been in the casinos out there. Sorry. But I sure do wish you luck in your move and wish I had a place there also. Happy Trails!

Actually, we found a good place and will be leaving Florida and on our way in 2 weeks and 1 day (but who's counting? haha). Thanks for the kind words though

Hi,

Just wanted to let you know that we have now officially been here 2 weeks and love it so far! The first week was incredibly hot though. The locals said that it was a lot hotter than usual for August (actually ran around 117 and 118) for several days in a row which is about 10 degrees hotter than usual. The weather has been much better the last several days though. The people are super friendly here, also. I guess in the winter when the snowbirds come it will be lots more crowded but right now very little traffic, etc. Anyway, just wanted to get back in touch and give you my 2 cents. Take care
