Well, the Phoenix Metro area is huge. A commute to Wickenburg really only makes sense if your school is in the northwest valley, I think. ASU main campus in Tempe is quite a drive. ASU west a bit better. Some of the community colleges in the NW might work? Which schools are you looking to attend?

Might be easier to commute to Prescott to the community college there? About the same in distance but maybe less traffic. There’s not much in the far northwest metro area of Phoenix for community colleges.

You have GCC and ASU West which are about the same distance 1hr-1.5hr? (bumper to bumper) away, and EstrellaCC down near I-10 and the 101. If you're just starting you could maybe try to get some of your generals out of the way doing them online through Rio Salado (they have a testing facility in Surprise). I'm not a big fan of online classes because they are 2-3x the work.

I guess it's hard to give you any good advise because you didn't give us much to go on. If there was something tying me to Wickenburg, I would rent a small and cheap studio/1 room apt. so I didn't have to make the drive everyday. They can't be more than a few hundred in the GCC/ASUW area.

My husband might get a job in Bagdad and I need to go to school at Pheonix College for the dental program so I was thinking Wickenburg would be a good middle.

Phoenix College is in Central Phoenix. Right? That's like 2+hrs one way. At least the hubby will only have a 90ish minute commute.

I wish you the best. (google maps says 90 minutes to phoenix collage. I think you could easily add 45min. to that if you have to drive anywhere near the rush hrs.)

The cost of gas alone will be more then the fees for college courses, to say nothing about the wear and tear of on the tires and vehicle.
