Question Need places a horse can stay at near Needles

We need somewhere our horse can stay at on our way to Texas. We'll need to stop after around 8 hours of driving each day.
We need somewhere he can stay, preferably a boarding stable, where he will be safe.
We will supply food for him and we will pay for the night.
He will be checked by a vet before we leave and during the trip.
This will be roughly around August or maybe September.

Thank you

There are people in Mohave Valley (just a couple of miles from Needles, but in Arizona) that have land, but there are no actual horse boarding places around here. You can try this one that I found on the msn yellow pages, but I am not 100% about it...they are listed under boarding stables.
Blue River Ranch
3215 Old West Drive, Mohave Valley, AZ 86440
(928) 768-7883

Like I said, it's VERY close to Needles

Good luck to you! BTW, keep in mind that is it VERY VERY HOT here right now!

I know the woman who runs Blue River Ranch. (Lorelei)
I have not been in contact with her for about 8 years, but she used to run the ranch mainly as a riding camp for disabled children. The property is VERY nice!!!

I also have a friend in the Mohave Valley area that has horse property....she owns several horses as well as an assortment of other animals LOL! (potbellied pig, goats, chickens, turkeys, etc)

There are not a whole lot of horse properties here...I assume it is because of the extreme heat.

Contact me if you want more info!

Default Overnight boarding

I have fourteen horses and live just off I-40. There are a lot of horse people here...travellers usually stop at Blake Ranch RV park/horse hotel which is at exit 66 just east of Kingman. Also a tip to you as you travel with a horse, you can always stay at the Fairgrounds in every county across the USA. They charge a small fee and sometimes you can even park there overnight. We have travelled cross country with horses. Just remember to have your CURRENT health certificate and a Coggins test done within 30 days of your departure date, and have paperwork with you identifying you as the legal owner of your horse. You will be required to stop at the Agricultural inspection station, go in and show them your H/C, Coggins and ownership papers...or you will be delayed. I would not stay at someones home if I was travelling with horses...
