Most forecasts in my area say the chance of rain will finally go above 0% on the 4th of July. That's a very typical monsoon start date. We had some threatening looking clouds here today but it's still too early in the season to see them develop into storms.

I cant wait for the rain. Where I live, we've only had 1 day of rain so far this year, and that happened way back in February. It's been 5 very long absolutely cloudless months since then.

Dew point has been rising every day. I expect to see the first monsoon rain within the next 10 days. It's coming.

Rain is now shown in our local forecast starting the 4th and continuing for a few days. Right on time as we need the rain.
My dew point is at 50° this morning and that's the highest it's been in a long time. 10 Day Weather Forecast for Prescott - weather.com

Chance of rain today here, I can already feel the mugginess. We're going to have to have an excellant monsoon season to bring us out of this record dryness and heat wave.
