BIG storm in Cottonwood yesterday evening. Thought, for sure, they'd cancel the fireworks but they didn't. I got home JUST in time for the beginning, however, a lot of them got pretty wet so it was 'short and sweet'. Still fun to watch though.

It really poured here with high winds and HUGE hail! Couldn't believe it and was scared for my poor garden. It looks fine this morning though. I had to go out and sweep all my sidewalks with all the pine needles and leaves that blew down last night. Messy! Looking forward to lots more rain and storms this year...I hope!

Sounds like you got a good storm. We got a lot of dust, high wind, and lightning. I couldn't see as many fireworks though. No rain though, at least not in my area.

Yeah, it was a "good storm". Right now I'm hearing thunder but can't really tell where it's coming from. Sky is pretty dark. Maybe Mingus Mtn. is getting the rain. I can smell it too! The wind was blowing pretty good a while ago but has calmed down now and it's cool out. Maybe 80??

All I can say is "Holy Crap"! My city just got swallowed by the dust monster. I'm inside it now hoping to get out soon!

Well we finally got smacked! Serious dust like everywhere and then "flying mud" and heavy rain/wind... The other half had yet to see this happen here as she's always been somewhere else this time of year. She did a lot of pacing around, such a worry wart!

I wish we could have the storms you have. We need 'em down in the city.
