This type of inmate(s) need maximum security, they were and are dangerous to the public. A "Medium" security prison is not the place for this type of convicted felons.
I think that Sheriff Joe A...should also run the prison system in Arizona.

Beware of anyone coming up to you in a mall, shopping center, at home, hitchhiking, etc....I never ever pick up hitchikers.

Be safe,

HW

This morning's Kingman Daily Miner says "the prison was built to house low-level and non-violent offenders". The prison is not answering questions about why they were housing murderers there. I've been told by somebody who has operational knowledge of the prison that they do house murderers there and that these guys are only allowed outdoors for an hour a day. The rest of the time they are locked in cells. But if the prison wasn't built to handle violent offenders then clearly they shouldn't have been there. I'll bet housing violent offenders pays better then non-violent, so perhaps the owner of the prison got greedy and thought they could handle it. There are some big questions that will need to be answered.

Really, one guy was doing two consecutive 22 year sentences (for murder I might add)!

I often forget to lock one of my doors at night....last night I had them all closed up early, just in case !

They say that they might be headed for Payson, how they know that is a mystery.

What's even a bigger mystery is why they would leak that information as now the escapees would go elsewhere and thus negate any possibility of potentially trapping them in Payson. Curious where you heard that, adventuregirl.

One caught, two still at large. Since none were in for first degree murder (which would have landed them in Florence) they apparently were not on the "hour a day" schedule.

Not according to this morning's newspaper which says that escapee Tracy Province was in for first-degree murder and robbery.
