Default Arizonans safe in California??

Has anyone who's visited California lately been harrassed for their Arizona plates?

I have an older uncle who'd like to visit, but is feeling very anxious considering the boycott in LA.

Thanks for any advice!

He should be OK, but if he is really concerned advise him to put a Mexican flag in his back window and a sticker from a Spanish language radio station on his bumper. That should ensure safe passage anywhere in California.

BTW: Have him leave the gun at home. Self-defense is frowned upon in the Golden State.

@ Ponderosa!

There's tons of AZ plates here... and amazingly I haven't heard one person in this state having a conversation about the AZ law.
What you see on TV and read on the internet is not what's going on IRL out there. For instance, the news reported a rally today in opposition of the AZ law. In reality, 15 people showed up to protest it. Wow... HUGE rally! If I were to believe the news, it was like Armageddon out there

Tell your Uncle to come on out! And I hope he has a great vacation!

FUNNY, Ponderosa . . . it would be even funnier if no so accurate.

A friend of a friend went to Las Vegas soon after bill 1070 was passed and had the tires on their AZ plated vehicle slashed. They felt it was due to the bill, but there's no way to prove that.

If he put a Mexican flag on his car etc, sure he'd be welcome except at my house.

I own a gun, but don't tell anyone here esp the Mayor of Sacramento, that ex-basketball player.

What idiots we have here in CA, vote for someone to run a city because he can play dribble a basketball.

Hey, he's welcome to hang out with us though. There are a few sensible people in CA. Just a few though.

Thanks for all the replies!
Seems the possibility is there for mischief, but probably quite rare.
I'll pass along the tip about the Mexican flag! ;-)

I just went to San Diego a couple of weeks ago and didn't have any problems. We did have dinner some friends and met their sibling for the first time. The sibling, a Californian, decided to harass us a bit when she found out we were from AZ. She judged us before I could even utter any words out. It was annoying but whatever.
