Black Hair Stylist
I'm relocating with my company from Houston to Phoenix. I am seeking a black stylist who uses Affirm (Kera Care products). I'm not looking to get a hair do just want a stylist to shampoo my hair for me and relax it every 8 to 10 weeks.
BTW, I'm in my late 20's and looking for a young black proffesional crowd in Arizona. I'm trying to make the most of this transition

I know a few stylists butnot sure what products they use. Also, what area will you be living in or do you not mind driving?? You can PM me if you like, also there is a thread about the African American community here, scroll through and you should come across it. They have some links for you....

I have a few number's for you if you want to PM, it took me about 6 months to find a good one and plus stay in a good price. There are a few people that charge $90 and up for a relaxer...which is too much. I just moved here from Chicago and i never paid over $65 for a relaxer. Plus i have a friend who lives in Houston and i don't think there prices are that expensive either.

i am looking for a salon/hair dresser in Arizona. it does not matter where. the metropolitan area in and around phoenix is closer.

overall, this is my problem...

i never go to the hair salon. so this will be a challenge for conditioning the hair.
i don't do perms...for the most part my hair is natural.
i is not very kinky. i can just wash it, brush it, tie it back and go.
it looks just fine with a leave in conditioner. for the last few years i have been partially dying my hair because i am an older lady.
for the last year, i have not been taking care of the hair.
it is dry and breaking off.
i stopped because i got tired of doing it and i was considering just cutting it off.
at any cost, i kept dying it with garnier's dark brown shade.
one day i got the notion to just remove the dye.
go natural, then cut it all in some short style
so i bought a dye remover at the local store.
wow. what a bad move. i had no idea what would happen.
my hair turned orange, auborn, red, yellow, etc.
i looked light a lit match.
i immediately redyed it, but the color was still light brown and uneven with dark reds.
i waited a week or 2 and dyed it again.
it is darker now but it is a mess and in worse condition.
it needs to be cut for sure.
but i changed my mind.
i want it professionally dyed a dark color
plus i think that i want a weave put in.
not a full head of weave, just something that matches my hair for length.
i have no idea how that will work with national hair, perhaps pressing will due.
a perm on damaged hair would be a problem.
this will be an experiment. i have no idea of any style, just i would like it to be shoulder length or longer.
there is a challenge.
where is the best salon for this type of thing?
