I don't have a problem with that. Sounds like the right thing to do. Besides, would you go down this ladder:

Nice one, kdog. No, I'd pass (and, I don't care about the mine/cave closing described, either.)

I care, though I don't go in the mines either. Sounds like the first step towards closing the area altogether.

Oh no, you don't have to worry about that. There are an estimated 100,000 abandoned mines in Arizona. They are basically everywhere to be found once you get off the paved roads.

Check out the linked article

"Caves, mines in area refuges closed due to deadly bat disease...

Spelunkers will have to temporarily hold off from exploring the caves and abandoned mines..."

Looks like the nanny state again, infringing my constitutional right to get a deadly bat disease....

I would go down it, with a climbing harness on, attached to a rope.

yes Kdog and I have a secret to these mine shafts. Spools out his winch for a elevator ride down and back up. no need for those silly ol ropes and harness gizmo's. we have extended the winch controls so we can do it as a one man operation. The hook was replaced with a shackle to connect to the back pack.

Now if you want to believe that we have land for sale.

Ok back to the mai tys here in Kauai whoops forgot again its only 4am here nobody moving yet.
