You can't in AZ. Decades of gerrymandering ensure that extremist views on both ends of the spectrum are the only choices in the legislative races. As a life long IND I feel truly unrepresented in this state. The only place the true voice of the people can be heard is in the referenda. I probably would not even bother to vote if the initiatives were not on the ballot.

That is my plan but I doubt if that will happen this year, there is a big tea party movement happening now and the republicans are sure to make some big gains.

I don't mind so much if republicans grab the federal congress, we need a balance of power in both the federal and state government.

I'm just afraid Arizona will stay the same or move even further right and that will end up hurting us even more.

If another Republican governor or candidate was available, I would vote for that person. I just don't like Jan Brewer. I know most of you would like to trump cheap conspiracy theories about how I'm writing this to support the Democrats etc. I'm not a fan of Terry Goddard either but he is the lesser of two evils in my opinion. It has nothing to do with political parties and Democrats vs Republicans.

The problem in Arizona is if you don't engage in vitriolic speech condemning illegal immigrants, it's assumed you automatically support illegal immigration which is not the case. Goddard does not support illegal immigration and is not soft on it either. Unlike Sheriff Joe and other loud mouth politicians, Goddard has not embraced their methods. In short, if you are politician that behaves with any type of grace whatsoever, it's assumed you favor illegals.

But, she doesn't and we know how that story ends...not much of a plot. At least, with Brewer, we're not sure how the story will end.
But, really, to run a state you have to have a good grasp of the English language. Well, then again, maybe not in Zonie land.
LMAO!!!!!!!
