Default Where should I visit for a couple of days?

We are taking a vacation in two weeks and I'd like to take a small road trip somewhere within the state. I haven't traveled much around the state in a while, so I'm wondering from those who do where we should go. I don't care for Flagstaff much, went there last summer to show my BF around (I've been there before of course) and we were both turned off with the massive traffic, difficulty getting a hotel room on a Wednesday night and lack of customer service.

I like Prescott a lot, but I've been there a few times and don't think I just want to go there. I thought about Sedona, as it's been years since I've been there. We've done the roadtrip to vegas several times in the last few years and I'm done with that. I've only been to Tucson for just a few hours once, of course never got to tour it at all. So that's a thought.

I don't want to drive too far, something like 2-3 hours max really. See, the bf may be flying to Houston to buy a car and will be driving it back that week (20 hr trip for him), so I'm not even sure he will want to get back into the car for a few more hours. It would be nice to go somewhere cooler, but it's not a requirement. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks, guys!

Ever been to Tombstone? If you like the wild west, youll love it there. Some parts of town are shady though, be warned, but along Allen Street is really cool.

You're going all the way to Houston to buy a car? Wow, that's gonna be a long drive! What about checking out Bisbee, Tombstone-- the whole SE corner of the state? Cooler than Phoenix and Tucson, nice scenery, a lot of historic sites. That should be about a 3 hour drive. You could see Tucson on the way.

Yeah, it's not me buying it. I think it's crazy to buy a car in another state, but since it's a "particular" car then I guess you might have to.

I'll take a look on the map at the SE portion of the state. Thanks for all the responses so far!!
