Default Death panels

No discussion of how many people will die because Arizona cut off funding for transplants?

It amazes me how low this state has sunk

It is due to lack of money, Boompa.

However, if you feel so strongly and are anxious to help, additional tax payments and contributions are always accepted and welcomed so rather than sitting back, criticizing and finding fault . . . get involved and support these causes.

The state forgoes $15 Million in Federal Medicaid funds as a result of eliminating transplant coverage -- to save approximately $5 million in state funding. Jan Brewer is still sitting on top of approximately $30 million in discretionary stimulus funds that she gets to dole out and claim credit.

Arizona is a red state with republican influence in government and the republican values “right to life“ what happened to the “right to life” and being on the state transplant list? How do they justify that? You have the right to be born but after that you can simply just die or move to another state that will help you.

Brewer was re-elected; the state knew what they were getting when they submitted their ballots.

Sounds like you have strong feelings about this topic, Boompa--are you doing anything significant to address the problem? (I don't count being angry and posting acidic comments here in City Data Forums as significant.) Yelling into the wind is fruitless; however, there are ways to make your voice heard that might make a difference.
