Default Mesa

Hello,

I am new to this forum and I was wondering if I could get some advice about Mesa. We might be possibly relocating there and I was wondering where would be a good place to live, schools, jobs and any information for family of 5(2 adults, 3 children -21yrs,7yrs, 2yrs) who are coming from Michigan. I am not familiar at all with Arizona so please any information would be most appreciated. Thanks all!!

Check out Las Sendas, it's in north east Mesa. It's the nicest community in Mesa, there is a golfing, pools, tennis, trails, spa, & lots of family activities. Also, the schools are the best that you'll find in Mesa. Homes are priced higher than other areas in Mesa, but it's well worth the extra money. Home prices are coming down though (just like every where else in the valley). The new 202 freeway is being built in this area right now, which would make it an easy commute. The zip code is 85207. Best of luck!

Check out this website: Las Sendas - In Mesa at Thomas & Power Road

You can live in E Mesa and your kids will go to Gilbert schools. Look South of Baseline East of Power and west of Signal Butte but not that Mountain Ranch area over at Signal Butte and Elliot. Also check out Gilbert.

I just moved to Mesa from Chicago just a hair over a month ago. My advice is that if you're moving with children, don't. I would rather have my kids go to almost any inner city school in the Midwest than the "good" schools out here. Fortunately I can rent out the home I just bought and move back north when I do have kids.

If you've been her just over a month how can you make ANY true judgments? School hasn't even started in Mesa yet?!?!

For the initial poster: Mesa has some great schools-check out greatschools.net. It is a pretty expansive city in terms of actual size & you'll find quite a variety from the older sections of Mesa to the higher end. NE Mesa is great as are several of the other sections of Mesa. Don't let someone with a month's experience dissuade you. Best of luck!
