Im an experienced iron ore miner and was curious if there are any active mines still thriving in Arizona. Love visiting Arizona, it would be nice to see if there were any work possibilities there.

I am not sure if this of interest, but Morenci has a copper mine- its north of Tucson.

Job search copper mining Globe Miami Superior. These are smaller mining towns east of Phoenix. The mines there have reopened on the high price of copper. One of them is called Pinto Valley Mine owned by Billiton.

There are some sizable gold mining operations going on in the black mountains near Oatman and Mineral Park in the Cerbats which houses one of the largest turquoise mines in the world, just to name a few. There are many really.

Read an article in the Prescott paper yesterday about the mine in Bagdad. Said they were hiring.

Wow no BISBEE. The Copper Queen is still working and the part in town even has rides into the mine for tourists. Mining is still big business here, Ajo and Cananea(just on the other side of the border).
