Doesn't matter how well or how hard one plays 'the game'...one can get rolled over by life... grin. Had to allow my then-husband to make decisions as I went through some body issues during the last half decade...new hips, shoulders, neck, that kind of thing. From playing the game too hard? Now, I've just found that I've lost my home through foreclosure and I want to move back to the desert, the sun and the heat! I was born in Tucson and have spent time in Tucson, Mesa, Prescott as well as the Grand Canyon.

...I am a country girl big time...also a Landscape Architect and I minored as an exercise specialist. Both occupations have consumed decades of my life. I love both.

Most of my family lives in Apache Junction, the rest in Texas. Distance, ex-husbands with money (mine) and hard times have done nothing for my relationships with my family. I'd like to reinvent myself, make a home for myself and my animal friends in Arizona...eventually to get to know my children again.

Found this site with well-written advice and decided to ask for help. I'm losing a large, log home on 23 acres where I've lived for 5 years. During that time I tried! to supervise the building, subcontractors (I actually had my own custom home construction business for 8 years that was successful!) but was made impotent by the aforementioned husband who made incredibly stupid decisions...and looks like I need to learn a hard lesson and move on.

Of course I am getting information on availability for work in my fields, that kind of thing, but I HATE the city, WILL NOT deal with drama from unenlightened humans that think of Money as a God...and appeal to you folks for advice for areas that would be good for a gal with horses, lots of knowledge in wilderness survival, growing your-own-food and Landscape Design/Installation...(this usually entails living near people who can afford to even know the benefits of professional landscaping much less pay for my services)...ugh...physical fitness doesn't make a great living...yet, especially since I am older and don't have a superwoman body anymore, grin.

Most importantly...I don't feel that this 'American Reality' that you see on the TV even exists. My current reality has been validated by 'Zeitgeist'...there are 3, 2-hour movies that MAKE SENSE to me. Sooner, rather than later, our society will be imploding. I care about being able to take care of my family...my animals, too. Arizona seems to be a very 'hot' spot to live when stuff-hits-the-fan...if you know what I mean. I want to be able to be with my children during that time...

I am different. Wasn't brain-washed by TV for the past 25 years...I can see the forest...not just the trees. Still open for someone to logically show me that I am wrong...but I don't think so...looking for other open-minded, courageous, real! Americans...for advice.
