Default Toughest Jobs in Arizona

What do you think are the hardest jobs to do in Arizona? I've always thought that working on a roof in the middle of summer is the hardest. Especially if hot tar is being applied!

This is not just in Arizona, but there is actually a job title called "Sewer Systems Inspector", which requires the person to be down in the sewer pipes to inspect for problems and remedy them. I saw a program about this on the History Channel not too long ago, and yes, people who are priviliged to be in this line of work have to wear special protective gear to go down in there. When they come out, they have to be sprayed down with some cleaning liquid for obvious reasons. I can't imagine being down there when it's 115 degrees outside, which I'm sure wouln't be very comfortable being down there with that thick and heavy protective gear on! To come think of it, I don't care how nice it is outside, you couldn't pay me a million bucks to do this job!

Most outdoor jobs in AZ are done at night in the summer, especially road work.

Any job that requires working outdoors in the summer is tough work.
What out door jobs at night ?
The roughest ones are:
Roofers work from 5 am to 2 pm.
Landscapers work from 6 am to 5 pm.
Road work is done all the time day and night.
Most construction work starts at 5am til 2pm.

Not to be facetious, but how can a Realtor going from their air-conditioned house into their air-conditioned car to their air-conditioned office back to their air-conditioned car to a air-conditioned open house, back to their air- conditioned office, then to their air-conditioned home, qualify for rough and tough strenous outdoor work in the summer here???
I think some will agree with me here.

Something tells me Ponderosa was being a little sarcastic with his input . . . probably due to the fact that realtors can't sell houses, thus can't make any money?!?!?!

There are many mines in Arizona and that can be some of the most scorching (strip mining) and backbreaking (underground mining) work you can do.

That's actually not true. I've never gone a day without having to deal with road work here - it's done all day, every day, though they do seem to try to get it done before late afternoon.

Landscapers, roofers, construction, etc - all done during the day. I'd be very worried about buying a house that was constructed at night

Re: the initial question: I think any of those jobs would be incredibly hard. I think being a teacher in an area with a large percentage of non-English speakers would be incredibly hard too, but that would be applicable nationwide.

Border guard, patrolling the Mexican border, would be really tough too.

I see there are many replies that lean towds something in the way of construction in one way or other. And because I too, work out in it every day (for the most part), must agree with them. But if I didnt like what I do, wouldnt be doing it.
