I swear y'all have jinxed us!
After reading this thread yesterday morning my wife was looking out the upstairs window and watched a huge snake slither across the street to our backyard wall which has drain holes at the bottom to let water out of the yard. Needless to say she was paranoid it came into the yard so I was on snake patrol for a bit. Then we go to move some empty planters from the side yard and a rather large mouse/rat jumped out giving both of us a start! Then last evening I'm standing on our back patio and look down to see a rather large scorpion scampering by.
Needless to say it became quite flat after I smacked it with a shovel I keep handy.
What's next? A tarantula?????

Came upon this guy Sunday morning sunning himself on a dirt road in Amado. He didn't mind me looking but after a minute or so he started to slither away.
